The Soul Care Ministry seeks to come alongside those struggling through life’s storms and provide them with counseling from a Biblical perspective to help them, through wise discernment (Prov 18:13), apply the truths of God’s Word to their situation (2 Tim 3:16-17). There are many hurting people in this world, and undoubtedly many in our church. They need more than to simply be listened to or given a “quick fix” Bible verse. They need real answers, comfort, and hope from the one who created them and loved them enough to die for them. We affirm that the church should be where these people turn and receive help (Matt 11:28). The church, as Christ’s body here on Earth, is the only true source of hope for hurting people as Christ himself said: “But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
